Howard is the co-founder of the Nashville Homeless Underground, launched in 2013 with several others passionate about the pilot of people living on the street.

Every year Nashvillian’s come together to remember people who lived unhoused and died on the streets of Nashville. The event is led by Howard and many others who support the living unhoused community.

After all, we are known as the Volunteer State and living in the capital city, we should set the example.

You can look at the news and the weatherman says, "It's 32 degrees, bring your plants and animals in because they'll freeze," but "Leave the homeless outside until it reaches 25 degrees, and emergency shelters will be provided."

They’re not paying taxes …They’re building all kinds of condos. But it’s getting worse every day for the homeless.”
